  3. Hollywood is famous for playing fast and loose with history but it is interesting to see Pitcairn in 1933. It looks pretty primitive to me and I wonder if everybody is as content as the narrator of this documentary with his soothing tones makes them out to be. It reminds me of the guy that did the travelogues that were shown in theaters in the 1940s. One can make Native Americans look happy as can be living in substandard conditions on the reservations in the deserts of the Southwest. The only reason Fletcher Christian ever got aboard Bounty was because his old man was thick with someone at the British Admiralty. Well, so be it.
